As I addressed in my blog post about the importance of a good headshot photo, there are quite a few people out there who are representing themselves with a headshot/portrait photo that may be giving potential clients the wrong impression.
If you think that you might be one of those people, or you aren’t sure, I put together a list of things that you can look for that would indicate that it might be time to book a new shoot.
In the first 3 seconds of meeting you, someone will form a first impression. You hear this a lot in lessons about business meetings, interviews, etc.. It sounds scary, but it doesn’t have to be.
In the modern world of social media, the first time you meet someone likely won’t be in a coffee shop, or an office. It will be on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, or a promotional website.
So how does that make it better? Instead of getting one shot to do it all right, you can plan it out, revise what you want to say, the message you want to convey, and only publish it for the world to see when you’re happy with it.
